Diclofenac Sandoz Care 100 g is an anti-inflammatory gel for cutaneous use containing diclofenac diethylamine (equivalent to 20 mg of diclofenac sodium per gram). It is applied directly to the skin to relieve mild to moderate local pain associated with muscle and joint injuries, such as sprains, bruises, tendonitis or back pain. Its gel formulation makes it easy to apply directly and quickly to the affected area, providing localised relief.
Sandoz Care Diclofenac 100 g is indicated for adults and adolescents from 14 years of age.
Diclofenac Sandoz Care Diclofenac 100 g gel with 23.2 mg Diclofenac is used twice a day (preferably in the morning and evening). Depending on the size of the affected area to be treated, a cherry to walnut-sized amount, corresponding to 2-4 g of gel, is required. The maximum total daily dose is 8 g of gel and the recommended duration of treatment is 5-7 days. If symptoms continue or worsen after 7 days of use, it is recommended to consult a doctor and/or pharmacist.
Do not use Sandoz Care Diclofenac 100 g gel if you are hypersensitive to the active substance diclofenac or to any of its excipients, in children under 14 years of age or in the third trimester of pregnancy. Also in patients with a history of hypersensitivity reactions such as asthma, urticaria, angioedema or acute rhinitis in response to acetylsalicylic acid or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Like all medicines, Diclofenac Sandoz Care can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Skin reactions may occur after exposure to sunlight in cases of sensitivity.
Other common and milder possible side effects are: rash, itching, redness, eczema, dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) including contact dermatitis.
Do not use in combination with other diclofenac-containing products. If a skin rash occurs during treatment with diclofenac, treatment should be discontinued. During treatment, photosensitivity may occur with the appearance of skin reactions after exposure to sunlight. Do not use on large/extensive body areas. Use only on localised parts of the body.
Diclofenac Sandoz Care is 100 grams in size. Per gram of gel, it contains 23.2 mg diclofenac diethylamine corresponding to 20 mg diclofenac sodium. The other ingredients are: propilenglicol (E1520), alcohol oleílico, alcohol isopropílico, butilhidroxitolueno (E321), dietilamina, parafina líquida ligera, éter cetoestearímacrogol ketostearic ether, carbomer 980 F, cocoyl capryl caprylcaprate, scented cream 1876601 (containing hexyl benzoate, citral, eugenol) and purified water.
