The ylang ylang, which means "flower of flowers", is a tropical tree native to Asia and has spread to other areas such as India, Central America and the north of South America. It can reach up to 20 metres in height. Its showy flowers, large and yellow, have an enveloping and penetrating aroma, offering an essential oil that is complex in composition and intense in aroma, reminiscent of white flowers such as orange blossom or jasmine.
