Fiprex S (for dogs up to 10 kg), 1 pipette

Chemical Fiprex S for dogs weighing 2 to 10 kg is a veterinary antiparasitic medicine for topical application. Each pack contains a 1 ml pipette containing 75 mg of fipronil. This formulation is tailored to the specified weight range, so it is important to weigh the dog accurately before use.

The solution is administered by applying a small amount to the back, directly onto the skin. It is intended exclusively for dogs and must not be used on cats or rabbits.

It is indicated for the treatment of infestations with adult fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) and ticks of the species Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Dermacentor reticulatus. Protection against new flea infestations can last for up to 8 weeks. The acaricidal efficacy against the specified ticks may last for up to 4 weeks.

If ticks are already attached when the contents are applied, some may remain visible for several days. Their presence does not negate the need to check the animal and follow the instructions in the leaflet.

Each pipette contains 75 mg of fipronil. Contains 3 mg of butylhydroxytoluene (E 321), 3 mg of butylhydroxyanisole (E 320), povidone, isopropanol and diethylene glycol monoethyl ether.

1. Check that the dog weighs between 2 and 10 kg.
2. Open the pipette by removing the tip.
3. Part the fur between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible.
4. Empty the entire contents directly onto the skin. If necessary, spread it over several spots in that area to prevent it from running off.

Prevent the dog from licking the treated area and ensure other animals do not do so either. Do not bathe the dog or allow it to be submerged in water for the following 2 days. The interval between applications must not be less than 4 weeks.

It is suitable for dogs weighing between 2 and 10 kg and at least 2 months old. It must not be applied to puppies younger than this, dogs weighing less than 2 kg, sick or convalescing animals, or onto wounds or damaged skin.

Reactions at the application site have been reported, such as itching, irritation, hair loss, discolouration or a greasy appearance. If the dog licks the area, excessive salivation, vomiting, lethargy or hypersensitivity may occur. Consult your vet if you notice any reaction.

Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and skin. Wash your hands after using the pipette. Children should not touch the dog until the area is dry. During pregnancy or lactation, use only after consultation with a vet. Store the product below 25 °C and do not refrigerate.

Fipronil may be harmful to aquatic organisms. Do not allow your dog to bathe in watercourses for the following 2 days, and dispose of the packaging in accordance with local regulations.
