The shark’s skeleton is made up of cartilage and strong, elastic connective tissue, which consists mainly of macromolecules, calcium, collagen and glycosaminoglycans (complex carbohydrates). These substances are able to penetrate our joints, providing ‘building blocks’ that combat wear and tear. Taking a shark cartilage dietary supplement revitalises the joints; this is because, over the years, whether due to genetics or simply lifestyle, the joints begin to deteriorate.
