Voltadol Forte is a topical gel medicine for the relief of pain and inflammation in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age.

Voltadol Forte gel is an anti-inflammatory and local analgesic medicine containing the active ingredient diclofenac, which belongs to the NSAID group, and which will be effective in relieving minor knocks or strains, contractures, lumbago, slight sprains, etc.

Voltadol Forte gel is indicated for adults and adolescents over 14 years of age seeking relief from symptoms of acute pain and mild inflammation.
To apply Voltadol Forte, apply a small amount of gel to the inflamed or painful area twice a day, every 12 hours (preferably in the morning and evening). This amount will vary depending on the size of the affected area (normally, an amount about the size of a walnut will suffice). Use the smallest amount necessary for the shortest time required.
Voltadol Forte should not be used:
- If you are hypersensitive to diclofenac or to any other component of the medicinal product.
- If you have previously had a serious adverse reaction to acetylsalicylic acid or any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
- If you are going to use occlusive dressings.
- If you have wounds, eczematous lesions or burns in the area to be treated. Do not apply on mucous membranes.
- In children and adolescents under 14 years of age.
- In the third trimester of pregnancy.
Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not all people suffer from them and they may be:
- Frequent and mild: rash, itching, flushing, urticaria...
- Rare or very rare: photosensitivity reaction with burning, swelling or blistering, asthma, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, throat...
Diclofenac may cause photosensitivity reactions. It is recommended not to expose treated areas to sun or UV light for at least one day. Special caution is recommended in patients with asthma, history of peptic ulcer, kidney or heart failure, as well as hypertension.
