Wash your hands thoroughly and dry them completely. Open the protective pouch, remove the sterile lancet and place it in the lancing device according to the manufacturer's instructions. Adjust the depth if necessary and prick the side of the fingertip to obtain a drop of blood. Once used, remove the lancet and dispose of it safely in a sharps container.
