Bronco Medical Syrup 180 ml

Bronco Medical Syrup is indicated for the treatment of coughs and to help expel mucus and phlegm, symptoms associated with colds and flu.

Bronco Medical cough syrup is intended for adults and children over 6 years of age who need relief from coughs associated with colds, flus or flu.

The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:

• From 12 years of age: 10 ml every 6 hours (4 times a day).
• Children 6-11 years: 5 ml every 6 hours (4 times a day).

• Patients with hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients and/or excipients listed in the composition of Bronco Medical Syrup.
• Avoid in asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory insufficiency, arterial hypertension, liver diseases.
• Do not use if there is previous or concomitant treatment with: MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.
• Do not administer to sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.
• Avoid in patients with atopic dermatitis, due to histamine release associated with dextromethorphan administration.
• Pregnancy and lactation, consult a doctor.
• Caution in driving and use of machinery.

Like all medicines, Bronco Medical Syrup may cause side effects:

• Common adverse reactions: drowsiness and dizziness.

The composition of Bronco Medical Syrup per ml is: 2 mg Dextromethorphan hydrobromide and 10 mg potassium sulphoguayacolate 10 mg. The other excipients are: Sucrose: 600 mg/ml, Caramel (E-150), Saccharin sodium, Peppermint essence, Pineapple essence, Purified water.

• For correct administration of the medicine, use the measuring cup. Wash the measuring cup after each use.
• Do not take with grapefruit or orange juice.
• Drink plenty of water during treatment to hydrate mucous membranes.
• If treatment does not improve within 7 days or if symptoms worsen during this time, seek medical advice.
