Ibuprofen Mabo Farma 400 mg is a medicine containing ibuprofen, an active ingredient belonging to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), indicated for the symptomatic relief of mild to moderate pain and fever.

It can be used to relieve various types of pain, such as headaches, toothache, period pain, muscle aches, joint pain or mild inflammation. It also helps to reduce fever thanks to its antipyretic action.

Ibuprofen Mabo Farma 400 mg is indicated for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over and weighing more than 40 kg who require temporary relief from pain or fever.

Take half a tablet or one tablet every 4 to 8 hours, depending on the severity of the symptoms.

Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 1200 mg of ibuprofen .

It is recommended to take the medicine with or after meals to aid digestion.

• Do not use Mabo-Farma Ibuprofenif you have recurrent gastrointestinal ulcers, a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, severe heart failure, or liver or kidney failure.
• Do not use if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any other excipients contained in this medicine, or if you have asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or nasal polyps.
• Contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy.
• Particular care should be taken in patients with high blood pressure, as it may raise blood pressure
• Special care must be taken if you are taking any of the medicines listed below, and you should consult your doctor before taking this medicine: Baclofen, chloramphenicol, loop diuretics, antihypertensives, hydantoin, tacrolimus, furosemide, methotrexate, pentoxifylline, hypoglycaemic agents, amongst others.
• Herbal extracts such as Ginkgo biloba may also interfere with their use, as they can increase the risk of bleeding associated with NSAIDs.
• Avoid alternating use with salicylates such as salicylic acid and its derivatives due to the risk of bleeding.

Mabo Pharma’s ibuprofen may cause adverse effects, as is the case with all medicines. Specifically, the following have been observed:

• It may, in rare cases, lead to thrombocytopenia, leucopenia and haemolytic anaemia. It may, very rarely, cause asthma, allergic reactions such as bronchospasm, rhinitis, oedema, dyspnoea, heart failure, visual disturbances and hypertension, amongst others.
• More commonly, it may cause headaches, skin rash and itching, as well as gastrointestinal discomfort, dyspepsia and vomiting.

Each Mabo Farma tablet contains 400 mg of ibuprofen as the active ingredient and 30 mg of lactose. The other excipients are: croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, talc, magnesium stearate, pregelatinised maize starch, anhydrous colloidal silica and purified water.

If you are experiencing any type of muscle pain, muscle spasm, or pain caused by an inflammatory or dental condition, take 1 or half a tablet every 4–8 hours, without exceeding the maximum daily dose of 1200 mg.

The same dose may also be used to treat fever.

If symptoms persist for more than 5 days, worsen or you experience any adverse reactions, stop taking the medicine and consult a doctor.
