It can be used, under medical supervision, for the management of:

• Diabetic foot ulcers.
• Leg ulcers.
• Pressure ulcers.
• Partial-thickness burns.
• Wounds with low to moderate exudate.
• Infected wounds as part of a comprehensive clinical treatment programme.

• Antimicrobial dressing containing silver sulphate.

• Enables dressing changes that are less traumatic to the skin.

1. Clean the wound following the healthcare professional’s instructions.
2. Carefully dry the skin surrounding the wound.
3. Remove the protective films without touching the surface that will come into contact with the wound.
4. Place the adhesive side directly onto the affected area, without stretching the dressing.
5. As this is a borderless dressing, secure it where necessary with a bandage, tubular mesh or other suitable system.
6. Replace it according to the condition of the wound, the amount of exudate and the healthcare professional’s instructions.

Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components. Mepilex Ag is not a substitute for systemic antibiotic treatment or other necessary treatments where a clinical infection is present.

Do not reuse or re-sterilise. Do not use if the individual pack is open, damaged or has lost its integrity. Frequent or prolonged use of silver-impregnated dressings may cause skin discolouration.

Use on infected wounds, children, newborns or for prolonged periods must be carried out under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Always refer to the instructions included in the pack.
