3M Cavilon Spray is a polymerised solution that functions as a protective skin film. When properly applied to the skin, it forms a uniform film. Thanks to its non-toxic solvent, it dries very fast and does not cause any irritation. This product acts as a breathable and transparent coating on the skin. It is clinically tested and provides adequate protection, helping to prevent conditions such as dermatitis associated with incontinence or IAD. It also protects against various body fluids such as urine, faeces, saliva, exudates and others.
Cavilon spray is composed of an acrylate polymer developed by 3M that acts as a skin protectant. It does not contain any skin-damaging active ingredients.
It is fast drying and leaves no residue for a more pleasant user experience. It does not interfere with the absorption of absorbent pads or nappies.

It is suitable for all skin types, including areas with folds, whether the skin is healthy or damaged. It can also be used to prevent maceration and possible irritation of the perilesional skin due to repeated application of plasters and dressings.
It is very simple to use. It comes with a spray that is applied without spreading it. It is recommended that the affected area is previously clean and dry. This product has a protection period of 72 hours without the need to remove it from the skin.
It should not be used as the sole method of preventing infection or the development of micro-organisms such as bacteria in the circulatory system, e.g. after the insertion of catheters. It should also not be used on infected skin. Removal with water or other solutions should be avoided. In case of contact with the eyes, the area should be rinsed with plenty of water. The product should be kept in a cool, dry place and out of the reach of children.
