Regaine Anti-Hair Loss Foam is a topical foam containing minoxidil, equivalent to 5 per cent, indicated for the treatment of hereditary hair loss in adult men.
Regaine Anti-Hair Loss Foam is a topical medicine formulated with minoxidil. Each gram of the foam contains 50 mg of minoxidil, equivalent to 5 per cent. It is applied directly to the scalp and helps to stimulate hair growth and stabilise hair loss in cases of androgenetic alopecia or hereditary hair loss.
It is indicated for men with hereditary hair loss, particularly where there is a receding hairline or baldness at the crown. It works by revitalising the hair follicle and promoting hair regrowth when used consistently.
It is intended for adult men with hereditary hair loss or androgenetic alopecia. It must not be used by women, children or adolescents. Nor should it be used if the pattern of hair loss differs from that indicated, if hair loss is sudden, irregular or of unknown cause, or if there is no clear diagnosis of the cause of the hair loss.
Apply the foam twice a day, preferably in the morning and at night, to a clean and completely dry scalp. The usual dose is 1 g of foam per application, equivalent to approximately half a capful, spread over the affected areas.
It should be applied directly to the scalp, massaging gently with the fingers. After each application, it is recommended that you wash your hands thoroughly. It must not be applied to other areas of the body or to irritated, inflamed or damaged skin.
To maintain the results, it is necessary to continue the treatment regularly. If no improvement is observed after 4 months, it is recommended that you consult a doctor.
It must not be used if you are allergic to minoxidil or any of the other ingredients in the formula. Nor should it be applied to a scalp that is irritated, red, inflamed, infected, wounded or painful.
Before starting treatment, it is recommended that you consult a doctor or pharmacist if you have a history of heart disease, heart rhythm disorders, angina, chest pain, circulatory problems or blood pressure disorders.
Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous membranes or broken skin. In the event of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. The foam should only be used on the scalp.
As it contains alcohol, this product is flammable and must therefore be kept away from flames, lit cigarettes or sources of heat during application and until it has dried completely.
It may cause local effects such as itching, irritation, redness, dryness, flaking, dermatitis, a burning sensation or discomfort in the area of application. Hair growth may also occur in unwanted areas if the product comes into contact with other areas of the skin.
Treatment should be discontinued and a healthcare professional consulted if symptoms such as chest pain, palpitations, severe dizziness, fainting, swelling of the hands or feet, sudden weight gain, difficulty breathing or swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat occur.
